Crispy Baked Cumin Pork Ribs
Oven-roasted to golden perfection, these cumin pork ribs feature a wonderfully crispy outer layer infused with the aromatic, earthy crunch of cumin and savory spices.
Cumin pork ribs bring a vibrant, street-food inspired flavor profile straight to your home oven. By marinating the ribs in a savory blend of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and aromatics before baking at high heat, the meat becomes exceptionally tender on the inside while developing a fragrant, caramelized crust.
Ingredients
- 1 kg pork ribs
- 1.5 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp starch
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 2 stalks scallions
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 tbsp cumin powder
- to taste chili powder
Instructions
- 1Marinate the pork ribs

Place the raw pork rib pieces into a large metal bowl and add light soy sauce, cooking wine, oyster sauce, starch, chicken bouillon, and chopped scallions and ginger.
Tip: Mix the seasonings thoroughly to ensure every piece is coated for optimal flavor absorption. - 2Massage the marinade

Put on a disposable glove and use your hand to thoroughly massage the marinade ingredients and aromatics into the raw pork ribs inside the metal bowl.
Tip: Letting the ribs rest for half an hour after mixing will help them absorb all the rich seasonings. - 3Arrange on the baking tray

Take the marinated pork ribs and arrange them neatly in a single layer on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil, keeping them spaced evenly apart.
Tip: Proper spacing ensures heat circulates effectively around each piece for a crisp finish. - 4Bake in the oven

Place the baking tray into the oven and bake the ribs at 200 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure an even cook.
Tip: Keep a close watch during the final minutes to achieve the ideal crispy texture without burning.
