Ingredients
- 1 bowl cooked white rice
- 200 g beef slices
- 1 bunch fresh baby greens
- 1 red onion
- 2 slices fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp lard
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 spoonful cornstarch
- to taste oyster sauce
- to taste salt
- to taste white pepper powder
- to taste white sesame seeds
- as needed cooking oil
Instructions
- 1Chop the baby greens

Place the fresh baby greens on a wooden cutting board and use a cleaver to chop them into smaller pieces, preparing them for the stir-fry.
Tip: Chop the greens evenly to ensure they cook quickly and uniformly in the pan. - 2Slice the red onion

Place a peeled red onion on a wooden cutting board and use a kitchen cleaver to slice it evenly into thin rings or slices.
Tip: Keep your fingertips tucked inward to protect them while slicing round vegetables. - 3Stir-fry the baby greens

Add the chopped baby greens into a hot pan with ginger slices, and season with salt and white pepper powder while stir-frying.
Tip: Add the seasonings early so the greens absorb the flavor evenly as they wilt. - 4Add and stir-fry the rice

Add a bowl of cooked white rice directly into the pan containing the cooked vegetables and continue stir-frying until fully combined and fragrant.
Tip: Break apart any clumps of rice thoroughly with your spatula for an even texture. - 5Mix the cornstarch slurry

Pour water into a glass bowl containing cornstarch to create the thickening base for the teriyaki sauce.
Tip: Use room temperature or cool water to prevent the cornstarch from clumping. - 6Prepare the teriyaki sauce

Add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey into the cornstarch mixture, then stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon until smooth.
Tip: Stir the sauce mixture again right before pouring it into the pan to prevent the cornstarch from settling at the bottom. - 7Stir-fry the red onion and beef

Heat oil in the pan, add the red onion slices and beef slices, and stir-fry them together until the color of the meat changes.
Tip: Stir-fry quickly over medium-high heat to keep the beef tender. - 8Pour Teriyaki Sauce over Beef

Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce mixture directly into the pan over the cooked beef and red onion slices, ensuring all the ingredients are evenly coated.
Tip: Stir the sauce mixture well right before pouring to prevent the cornstarch from settling at the bottom. - 9Garnish with White Sesame Seeds

Sprinkle white sesame seeds evenly over the simmering beef and sauce mixture in the pan to add extra fragrance and a nutty texture.
Tip: Simmer the mixture on medium heat until the sauce reaches your preferred thickness.
